A tall, angular, exceptional man stood to his feet
An anxious smile upon his face
An introduction, a handshake
The miracle was about to begin
Attentive waiters from the Far East
Our stomachs jumpy and jittery
Quickly moving from canned questions and answers
To a serious search of identity
Sparkling glances exchanged
Laughter bubbling forth
Gentle touches confirming
Future plans of more
A simple beginning
To a life of love and joy
Yet nestled within that moment
A hint, a feeling, a knowing
That forever our love would be
